Bruce Faulmann is Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Tampa Bay Times and a member of the Times board of directors. He served as Publisher of Florida Trend, a Times affiliate publication, from November 2008 to October 2009.
Before joining the Times Publishing Co., Bruce spent 24 years in the daily newspaper business, most recently as Vice President of Advertising for the Tampa Tribune. In that role, Bruce led the revenue generating efforts of the publishing division for the Florida Communications Group. Also, during his nine-year tenure, he managed the marketing department and was a key player in developing multimedia sales strategy for Media General, the Tribune’s parent company.
Prior to the Tribune, Bruce spent 15 years with the Bradenton Herald. Starting as an advertising sales representative, he worked his way through the management ranks, spending four years with the Herald as Vice President of Advertising.
From the age of 9, Bruce lived in Bradenton, Fla., where he graduated from Manatee High School and Manatee Community College. He continued his education at the University of Florida, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Advertising.
Bruce is a member of many nonprofit boards, including the Governor’s Volunteer Florida Foundation and Leadership Florida Class XXVIII. He has spent much of his career heavily involved in industry organizations at the state and national level, and most recently served as Federation President for the Newspaper Association of America.
Outside the office, Bruce and his wife, Anita — his high school sweetheart — live in Tampa with their very active teenage boys: Chase, Collin and Cort. The entire family enjoys the outdoors, particularly water-related activities, and thoroughly loves life in beautiful, sunny Florida.
